What does Eggnog have to do with Nativity?

Nothing at all! Lol It just helps make Christmas taste really good.

So, every Christmas morning my mom comes downstairs to make eggnog!! And every Christmas morning my patience is tremendously tested because it smells so good. It’s the mixture of vanilla, cinammon, nutmeg…it’s just too much.

Anyway, almost 1 year ago I was making a banana-smoothie with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla (it’s simple but tastes great) and it was chilly out so I decided to warm my milk before adding it to the blender. I did and when I drank it literally all of my senses took me to Christmas day.

It tasted kinda like Egg Nog! So now, approaching Christmas day, that memory arose from the recesses of my mind and i decided to perfect that recipe!

Not to mention that i saw the store bought, high fructose laden egg nog in my family’s fridge. Strangely and unexpectedly the recipe came to mind (lol).

Delightfully- dairy free and Healthy
Egg Nog
1 Banana
2 cups Hot Almond milk
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Vanilla
2.5 tsp Rum
5 packets stevia
1/8 tsp salt

Warm the milk up on the stove. As its warming go ahead and put everything in a blender except for the rum. Add the warm milk to the blender and go ahead and blend it. Then add the rum and blend again.
